The Executive Director supports informed Board governance by preparing recommendations, timely reports, and decision materials, and by implementing Board-approved priorities in coordination with SMSU management/staff and university leadership.

Because residential communities operate on a 24-hour basis, the Director ensures appropriate after-hours facilities response and operational continuity for urgent maintenance, infrastructure failures, and life-safety incidents affecting residents and housing facilities.
