Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary hiring range is up to $5,797 to $6,151 per month (Steps 1 – 4), commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The salary range for this classification is $5,797 to $8,445 per month.

  • This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Education Assessment & Accreditation Analyst, under the administrative direction of the Dean of the Kremen School of Education and Human Development, and in coordination with the Associate Dean, performs assessment and accreditation reporting and activities for the Educator Preparation Programs (EPP) and the School.

The Analyst works collaboratively with the Associate Dean, particularly in areas of program planning and development, school-wide assessment, continuous data-driven improvement, and accreditation oversight as well as with faculty, department chairs, program coordinators, county and school district personnel, accreditation agencies and stakeholders (e.g., CCTC, AAQEP), and university/school/department staff to achieve and maintain common goals related to education assessment, continuous improvement, and accreditation tasks and activities

  • Skills to guide assessment and accreditation initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, and accrediting bodies
  • Collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and administrators to facilitate successful assessment and accreditation processes
  • Effective project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute assessment and accreditation activities within established timelines
  •  
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to accreditation compliance and educational quality

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
     
  • Experience in the assessment of learning outcomes in higher education or collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to an accrediting agency or governing body, and/or monitoring compliance

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field
  • Prior experience with assessment and accreditation activities in a higher education setting
  • Working knowledge of credentialing process in compliance with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) standards
  • Working knowledge of credentialing process in compliance with Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) standards
  • Demonstrated skills in an institutional/educational environment possessing a customer-oriented and service-centered attitude
  • Assessment methodologies, tools, and techniques for measuring student learning outcomes and program effectiveness
