Position Salary Range: $13,756 - $20,634 per month
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $13,756 - $15,100 per month.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

About the Department/Position:
CSU Dominguez Hills is seeking an experienced, collaborative leader to serve as its next Executive Director, Auxiliary Operations. Reporting to the Vice President of Administration and Finance, this senior leader will guide Toro Auxiliary Partner’s (TAP) day-to-day administrative and operational functions, strengthen business processes and controls, and help the organization advance its service and growth priorities.
TAP is a vital partner to California State University, Dominguez Hills. Its work spans Human Resources, Financial Services, Procurement, Information Technology, and Commercial Services, with partnerships supporting campus dining, the University Bookstore, and filming activities. TAP also provides services for student organizations, sponsored research and programs, and the university’s philanthropic foundation. Through this work, TAP supports the university’s educational mission and contributes to the experience of students, faculty, staff, and the wider community.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide executive leadership for TAP operations, setting priorities and performance expectations aligned with TAP and university goals.
- Lead and support managers and staff across administrative and operational functions, promoting accountability, collaboration, and service quality.
- Advise the Vice President of Administration and Finance on operational priorities, organizational needs, risks, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee key business processes, including operational approvals, payroll-related workflows, accounts payable, and service requests.
- Strengthen policies, procedures, internal controls, and documentation; coordinate operational readiness for audits and guide corrective actions.
- Oversee vendor and service-provider relationships, monitor service expectations, and support continuity of operations.
- Lead process improvement, technology implementation, organizational change, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Assess staffing, organizational structure, and service delivery models, recommending improvements that help TAP meet evolving needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, finance, operations management, or a related field, and 7–8 years of progressively responsible experience in administration, business operations, or organizational management, including at least three years of significant leadership and supervisory responsibility; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience leading complex administrative or business operations and exercising sound judgment on sensitive or high-impact operational matters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of organizational and operational management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex administrative and business operations.
- Knowledge of internal controls, compliance, business processes, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor and service-provider relationships.
- Ability to analyze complex operational issues, develop solutions, and exercise sound independent judgment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, performance measures, and process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate work across organizational units.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior administrators, managers, employees, campus partners, and external business partners.
- Ability to operate effectively within a higher education, auxiliary, nonprofit, or similarly complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in business administration, public administration, finance, organizational leadership, or a related field.
- Senior management experience in higher education, an auxiliary organization, nonprofit, public-sector, or similarly complex setting.
- Experience with self-supporting or commercial operations, vendor relationships, service agreements, and administrative business processes.
- Familiarity with California State University or CSU auxiliary operations.
