Major Duties
SIMPACT lmmersive Learning, housed in the Center for Teaching and Learning in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, provides cutting-edge, simulation-based training to schools, universities, businesses, and a variety of industries. SIMPACT is powered by a blend of artificial intelligence and live human interaction which is created by an "interactor."
lnteractors are individuals who possess a unique and diverse skill set, including:
Performing experience (acting, improvisation, role-playing)
The ability to listen and respond with sincerity, empathy, and emotional honesty
The ability to bring characters to life by matching and maintaining distinct, realistic voices
The capacity to both understand and honestly portray diverse psychological profiles
Emotional range and the ability to take risks while staying honest and grounded
Comfort with basic computer and video conferencing skills
Experience with (or interest in learning) gaming technology
SIMPACT is looking for part-time actors of all backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, and identities. We need actors with empathy, authenticity, and emotional intelligence. We prefer actors with voiceover and acting experience.
Complete technology checks for simulation sessions with clients
Contact clients to coordinate simulation session, as well as follow up after session if necessary.
Qualifications
High School Diploma. Interactor needs to be able to work part-time on campus at CSUN. Amount of hours range, as do times needed.
We prefer actors able to speak multiple languages (especially Spanish), but not required.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
The anticipated hiring range: $20-$25
General Information
THE SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO PASS A THOROUGH DEPARTMENT (BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND LIVE SCAN).
Per CSUN/TUC Mandate, the candidate will be required to show proof of COVID 19 vaccination including booster.
