Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Executive Director and the Associate/Assistant Director, the Registered Dietitian Consultant is responsible for patient care in nutrition assessment/counseling of clients, coordinating Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) workshops, and supervising students in the Dietetic Internship program as they provide nutritional counseling and implement wellness clinic programs and workshops.
Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist required. Master’s degree in Nutrition or Public Health (or equivalent work experience) strongly preferred. Between 1-2 years minimum experience in clinical setting and patient care with nutrition assessment and counseling of clients strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and online assessment and documentation. Some project coordination and implementation of patient care and group education within diverse communities and clients preferred.
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty. Ability and specialized skills to: interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures; perform basic research and statistical analysis; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty as needed; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; organize, coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks; work in a busy environment; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
Full Pay Range: $25-$35 per hour
The anticipated hiring range: $25-$35 per hour
Schedule: Determined by Hiring Manager
Time Base: Part-Time
