Assistant Athletic Trainer II

| Working independently and in collaboration with the Head Athletic Trainer, the Athletic Trainer assists in the development, administration, and coordination of medical care for intercollegiate student-athletes. The position supports the daily operation of the athletic training facility and equipment, including providing medical coverage for intercollegiate practices and competitions. Responsibilities include performing injury evaluations, providing treatment for athletic injuries, implementing proactive injury prevention strategies, and overseeing rehabilitation and conditioning programs. The incumbent assists the Head Athletic Trainer with the development and management of sport coverage schedules and staff assignments, shares responsibility for Sports Medicine program oversight, and contributes to the development, implementation, and oversight
of departmental policies and procedures. The position maintains a professional and collaborative work environment with student-athletes, coaches, staff, and the campus community, and assumes responsibility for the organization and operation of the Sports Medicine program in the absence of the Head Athletic Trainer. The position also requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, travel with athletic teams as needed, and maintain all required athletic training certifications. |
